How far in advance should I book?
Weekends book out 4-6 weeks ahead, especially spring and summer. For birthdays, aim for 4 weeks minimum. For corporate and festival bookings, earlier is better. 6-8 weeks gives us room to plan themed designs or branded art.
How many kids can Dezzie paint per hour?
A detailed full-face design takes 3–5 minutes. Plan on 12–15 faces per hour for full-face designs, or 18–22 per hour for cheek art and mini designs at busy events.
Are the paints safe for kids with sensitive skin?
Yes. Dezzie uses only FDA-compliant, hypoallergenic, water-based face paints and cosmetic-grade glitter. For kids with known allergies or eczema, please mention it in the booking form so she can do a small patch test first or stick to arm designs.
How does the paint come off?
Warm water and mild soap. For stubborn glitter, a bit of baby oil or makeup remover works beautifully. It will not stain clothing or skin.
What do you need from me at the event?
A small table (Dezzie brings her own chair), one electrical outlet if airbrush is booked, and ideally a spot with good lighting out of direct rain or wind. That's it!
Do you travel outside St. Louis?
Yes, anywhere within about 50 miles. Travel within the St. Louis metro area is included. Beyond that, there's a small travel fee ($1.50/mile). Greater St. Louis and the surrounding region are all welcome.
What happens if it rains at an outdoor event?
Dezzie will paint under any covered area (tent, porch, gazebo). If the event is fully rained out, we can reschedule free of charge within 90 days of the original date.
How do I pay? Is a deposit required?
A 25% deposit reserves your date, with the balance due 24 hours before the event. We accept Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and credit cards. Corporate clients can request an invoice.
Can Dezzie do custom themed designs?
Absolutely! Themed parties are her favorite. Mention the theme in your booking form (unicorns, superheroes, mermaids, Bluey, Spider-Man, you name it) and she'll arrive with themed references ready to go.
Does Dezzie do adult face painting too?
Yes! Halloween, cosplay, festivals, photo shoots, bachelorette parties. Adults deserve sparkle too!
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel 14+ days before the event for a full refund of your deposit. Within 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to a new date within 90 days.
